Building on the success of last year’s acclaimed MEMS-3S 2025, the new Metal MEMS-422 carries forward the same proven acoustic DNA while pushing refinement even further. It retains the clarity and balance that made the MEMS-3S 2025 so well regarded, now elevated with a precision-engineered metal housing. The result is a more robust, premium design that preserves what listeners loved, while delivering a clear step forward in durability and finish.

6 Silicon Speaker Cells per ear

xMEMS’s MEMS speakers stand above the competition due to their truly monolithic design, which eliminates assembly variability and delivers consistently superior performance. Unlike other MEMS speakers on the market, the xMEMS Montara integrates six sub-speakers on a single die, dramatically increasing acoustic output and fidelity. Fully Open Back Signature

Similar to Open-back headphones, Hybrid-MEMS-Ear-Speaker models can create more natural and expansive soundstage than conventional occluded IEMs. The open-back faceplates allow sound waves to escape and interact freely with the environment, preventing the trapped feeling that closed IEMs can sometimes create. The lack of a closed enclosure minimizes internal reflections and unnatural resonances within the sound chamber and the ear canal, produces a more natural and balanced sound compared to closed models which can sound more colored or distorted, providing a sense of spaciousness and depth in the audio presentation, as well as a very wide and spacious soundstage than any normal IEMs can.

Stainless steel half shell

The Metal MEMS-422 features Grade 304 Stainless Steel half-shells that significantly enhance robustness and long-term durability while elevating the earpieces with a distinctly luxurious feel. Beyond its premium appearance, stainless steel’s mechanical resonance contributes to bass that is tighter, more controlled, and richer in detail. The result is deeper immersion and improved low-frequency resolution, pairing refined acoustics with uncompromising build quality.

Regulated 9000mV DC Bias from the AP GO energizer

xMEMS speakers require a significantly higher DC offset than conventional drivers in order to accurately position their diaphragm. For this reason, Soranik’s new AP GO energizer is engineered to deliver a minimum of 9000mV DC bias, ensuring optimal performance.

 

Compared to the previous generation AP1 Energizer, the AP GO is designed to fully attain the expected sound quality truly worthy of MEMS speakers with much smaller footprint. Pocket sized portable form factor for easy carrying yet pack a serious punch inside.

DUAL FULL-RANGED ISOBARIC MEMS SPEAKERS

xMEMS silicon speakers sound superbly extended at both ends, while USound transducers mids and lows are uniquely sublime, tactile and holographic. With all those unique signatures, Soranik managed to keep both MEMS speakers in the MEMS-3S 2025 full-ranged without omitting any portion of their frequency range. By combining both MEMS speakers’ outputs coaxially in a carefully designed chamber, the first ever of its kind that an isobaric setting is designed for MEMS speakers! End result is utmost neutrality and extreme detail retrieval.

Dual DD

As MEMS’s low frequencies are so fast it is not tasteful enough for casual listening, a dedicated 6mm DD was added together with the original 10mm Dynamic Sub-woofer  to improve mid bass and upper bass reproduction.

MEMS DC VOLTAGE DAMPING CIRCUIT

As True Silicon MEMS speakers require DC voltage to properly function, Soranik has developed a new DC regulating circuit for the MEMS speakers in the MM-422. As a result, treble is now more refined with better accuracy, precision is improved and hence more realistic soundstage.

2-pin 0.78mm & 4.4mm

The Metal MEMS-422 stands out for its ability to operate flawlessly with a standard 2-pin cable, even while handling a high input voltage of up to 24 Vpp. Despite this extremely high voltage swing, the dynamic drivers and MEMS drivers work together seamlessly without compromise, enabling the use of different after-market 2-pin cables.
